How Breeding Calculation Works
Each Pal has a hidden stat called breeding rank. When two Pals breed, the game averages their breeding ranks and produces the Pal whose value is closest to that average. There are currently 258 unique combos — predefined parent pairs that bypass the formula entirely and always produce a specific Pal. Because unique combos can override expected results, using this calculator before investing in a breeding chain is essential for efficient Pal farming.
FAQ
- What is breeding rank?
- Breeding rank is a numeric stat assigned to every Pal. The offspring is whichever Pal has the breeding rank closest to the average of both parents' values. Lower breeding rank generally means rarer Pals; higher values correspond to more common ones.
- What is a unique combo?
- A unique combo is a fixed rule that ignores the breeding rank formula. When two parents match a predefined pair, the game always produces the specified Pal. There are 258 unique combos in the current game, and some Pals can only be obtained this way.
- What happens when I breed the same species?
- Pairing a Pal with another of the same species always produces an offspring of that same species. This is useful for stacking passives or preserving desirable traits across generations.
